Ork Army Finished – Assault on Black Reach
Well, it took me a whole 7 months but I finally finished my Ork Army from the Assault on Black Reach starter set.
The army I really want to build is the Blood Angels, but I promised myself I wouldn’t get started on my Blood Angels army until after I finished the Ork Army from the starter set.
Well, the little green buggers are done now, so it’s Blood Angels time now! Yaay!
I shot a little video with a gallery of my Ork Army. What do you guys think?

[..YouTube..] Forget about making choices, just magnetize the weapons so that you can use any weapon everytime you wanna play!Great looking models, but I still think the orcs needs a little more shadowing, at least the skin. One or two coats of green wash should do the trick.But great job!
[..YouTube..] @Toxicrafa – The Nobz I did some “washing” with Devlan Mud. The Boyz I didn’t as I didn’t have Devlan Mud when I painted them. Maybe I’ll go back and do that, or I think I also bought a Green Wash…yes I did…hmm…But really I just want to get started on my Blood Angels
For Magnetizing, wouldn’t that only work for the bigger models like Dreadnaughts etc? Or would i actually magnetize every model? I have a lot of magnets, but didn’t think that all of them were magnetizable.
[..YouTube..] The Boyz look good! As far as the skin tone goes, for my orks I use Natakue’s method. I use goblin green for a base coat, then do a sepia wash followed by a Thrakka green wash. I looks great. He has som vids on it and a few of my vids show my orks with pics that show their skin. Keep up the good work!

To magnetize the weapons use the smaller size magnet, they are less stronger but enought to hold the weapons in place. In the States check the K&J Magnets brand.

[..YouTube..] Always read the Codex first. Otherwise you might end up building some units / weapon loadouts that you ultimately don’t want.I recommend magnetizing too. There are very small (2-3 mm) Neodymium magnets available on Ebay etc. You can easily switch out Marine’s arms or even their hands.
[..YouTube..] @xSuperiorManx – Yeah I got a shwackload of magnets I ordered from K&J so I’m good in that category. I got all different sizes too. I have to look again in the box to see how the arms/weapons are separated. I’m not sure if I’ll want to magnetize every single model with every single possible variation of weapon etc. Isn’t that a bit overkill?Or maybe it’s not that hard and I’m just misunderstanding. Keep in mind I’m a total noob, lol. I’ll have to dig through the box and the codex….

[..YouTube..] @paulymathdotcom Most people have a look in the Codex and decide which weapons they will give a model that has options, then assemble it that way. Easy and quick, but then you’re stuck with that loadout, even against opponents where another option might be better.I personally like to customize my army for each battle. I have almost all options ready and even regular opponents can’t foretell what I’m going to use. It depends on how much of a “hardcore-gamer” you are, I guess.

I might do one for a SM Sergeant and an IG Hellhound each in the next days so you can see that it’s not hard to do (although of course it is some extra work).I’ll reply here again once the videos are uploaded. Just search: “how to paint space marine blood angels” on youtube (it will say “by Lester Bursley”). The orks look great i paint mine with rusty weapons and “dirty” looking clothes but i like yours a lot threy turned out great. Happy wargamming.

[..YouTube..] @Apache94Kwon 3 things u need to get direct sound with out using ur torq recorder.1.you need a recording program to record the audio2.camera or web doesnt matter just has long the camera could record sound3.video editing program which i use sony movie vegas studio 9 and its free demo at there website so get thatNow the video program lets u put audo and video with the audio and u wanna sync the recording audio the webcam audio and turn the audio down from the camera and BAM direcrt sound
