Changing My Blogging Strategy
I decided it’s time for a change in Blogging strategy.
I have been finding it more difficult to write content for this Blog, and have really been wondering why that is. It is definitely not due to a lack of content pumping through my mind, as I am always writing in my journals, having conversations with others and pumping out a tonne of email every day. Content is not the problem.
What I have been noticing though is that while I take a very non-linear approach to writing in my journals, and I don’t even attempt to try to explain things I already know – on my Blog I always try to write from the perspective of talking to someone who has never ready any of my other content. This has become an increasingly difficult task because all of my content builds on top of other content.
For example, when I write about beliefs or Law of Attraction or the Universe, or subjective reality or intention manifestation or nutrition or Warhammer for that matter, there are specific words and concepts that I typically cover in previous posts and for those that read all of my content it should be easy to follow along but for anyone new to the Blog it might be easy to misunderstand what I am referring to.
However, I’m not going to let that stop me from writing content anymore. I’m just going to write the same way I write in my journal and if anyone is confused or unsure about something they can always leave a comment asking a question or search through my past content to find references to what I am referring to.
Secondly, the other aspect of my Blogging strategy that I am going to be changing is switching from a more “teacher” style of writing where I write content based on things that I have learned and tested in my life and know to be true, to a more “explorer on a journey” style of writing where I’m going to share my journey more – even if my thoughts, theories and concepts are untested and I’m just as confused about them as my readers. For example, the last few weeks I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and writing about Law of Attraction and how it fits in with the Universe and mass consciousness but I still have more questions than answers so far.
In the past I wouldn’t write about this stuff until I’ve had time to really consider what the truth is and experiment and test it out in my life, but now I’m just going to Blog my thoughts on a more regular basis.
In this way, I’m hoping that my Blog will become a more social platform for people to engage in conversation and discussions where we can all co-discover our own truths, and then I can always write eBooks or create products later which are more based on my personal experiences and experiments with these theories.
I do also plan on jumping around with my content discussing all the different things that excite my Paulymath mind instead of trying to keep things centered around one or two topics. That is the reason I created this Paulymath Blog in the first place, but I haven’t yet taken advantage of it yet until now.
Hope you guys like this new direction and I look forward to pumping out a lot more content for you guys very soon.

I think its a great idea
Just tossing one little small idea your way to see what you think.. What if you link certain subjects to past posts.. like blah blah blah “Law of Attraction” <—highlighted and linked to the most appropriate blog, plus this way you might get more hits..? Not all people but many don't like to do more work than they have to, but if you make it easier they might be more inclined to look at past blogs … eventually you will have blogs that trail from one to the next and the next..
Yes, I do plan on doing this and I already do that as well. However, some things are concepts rather than just single words linking to a single post. Such as for example if I write 50 articles related to law of attraction, then when I reference the word law of attraction I can’t really just link to one article. Maybe I could link to a category or something…
I’ll take it a step at a time and see how things go. Thanks for the suggestion!
Best of luck to you, Paul.
I look forward to reading your articles with your new writing style. You have never been afraid to go with your gut, and shake things up. For that I admire you, and that is why I enjoy reading your blog so much.
Thanks,

Personally, I miss your former focus and find the polymath approach a bit scattered. Not a criticism, but a reader reaction.

The challenge with my former approach is that after having written over 500,000 words of content mostly on one focus it gets kind of boring repeating myself. Also, the Polymath approach fits more of who I am more accurately. It’s not that I’m more scattered now that I was before, it’s just that my Blog now more accurately reflects who I really am.
I like reading about other people’s adventure so this is a great idea for me. Your blog is one of the very few blogs I subscribe to via email. But I believe the changes you will be making will not affect that decision in a negative way. Bring it on!

Never a dull moment here at paulymath.com, glad to hear that you decided to shake things up and make a departure from your self-established “norm.” After all variety is the spice of life, plus I predict that this change will lead to a great deal of inspiration and creativity. Isn’t it just tons of fun coloring outside the lines? I am looking forward to reading new topics that you post on.
On a completely unrelated off topic tangent, I have been thinking about picking up an old hobby lol. I use to enjoy playing mmorpgs (not WoW) before I started to focus IM related stuff but lately I’ve been feeling unmotivated. Oddly enough a new game is coming out and I think I will give it a try and hope that I can balance out my time so that way I don’t get burnt out. It’s my hope that this will make some of the work feel a little less ……..well like work, if that makes any sense. Oddly enough part of the setting of this mmorpgs is referred to as “the age of adventure” heh maybe thats what I’ve been missing adventure. And with that, good luck to you on your latest adventure pauly

What’s the game?
I used to play WoW. When Cataclysm comes out I think I might choose to get re-addicted. Just for fun. Till then I’m playing with Warhammer 40k. It’s so fun.
Final Fantasy 14, I’m not into the super mainstream popular MMORPG. I’m a die hard Square Enix Fan. I enjoyed playing FFXI the first online game they came out with and will probably start up again with 14 which was just released today. Probably make my way to the store and buy it and try it out to see if I like it. It’s a player vs environment. I’m not one for Player vs player as my crappy internet can result in death far too often lol. Also if I enjoy it enough why not make product/blog about it. Early on when a game is released is the ideal time to get your foot hold in the market. Making money off of a online game web 2.0 property would be nice
That’s a great idea, Bro
Thanks a lot.
